Referral Marketing Disclosure

When you contact a business through a website, it's not always obvious who you've reached or what happens to your inquiry. This page sets that out plainly.

This site participates in referral marketing. That means an inquiry submitted here may be passed to an independent tree care provider who carries out the work, and a fee or commission may be paid in connection with that referral.

Where that happens:

• The provider who contacts you is an independent business, responsible for its own work, its own pricing, its own insurance and its own licensing.
• They're not our employee or agent, and we do not control how they run their business.
• Any agreement for work is between you and that provider.

• It does not add to your price. A referral fee is paid out of the provider's side of the transaction, not added on top of your quote.
• It does not oblige you to anything. An estimate is free and you're free to get other quotes, and to decline.

Whoever contacts you, us or anyone else, the same sensible checks apply before you let someone take down a tree next to your house:

• Ask who you're dealing with and get the business name in writing.
• Ask for proof of liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage, and check the dates.
• Get the scope and the price in writing, including exactly what cleanup covers.
• Be cautious about large payments up front.
